Common questions

Before you book

Is it safe to travel to the Sundarbans and the Sylhet region?
Yes, absolutely! Your safety is our top priority. We travel with expert naturalists and experienced local guides who know these regions intimately. While the Sundarbans is a wild environment home to tigers and crocodiles, our boat safaris and guided walks are conducted with strict safety protocols. The Sylhet region, including Sreemangal and the national parks, is generally very peaceful and welcoming to international travelers.
What level of physical fitness is required for this tour?
This tour has a "moderate" difficulty level. You should be comfortable with daily activities such as walking on uneven forest trails, getting in and out of small rowing boats, and spending time on a cruising boat. The trekking in Rema-Kalenga and Satchari National Parks involves walking through hilly and forested terrain, so a reasonable level of mobility and stamina will help you fully enjoy the wildlife tracking.
Do I need any special permits for the Sundarbans or the national parks?
You don't need to worry about the paperwork! All necessary permits for entering the Sundarbans, Rema-Kalenga Wildlife Sanctuary, Satchari National Park, and Lawachara National Park are arranged by us and are included in your tour package. We handle the logistics so you can focus on the wildlife.
What should I pack for a wildlife tour in Bangladesh?
We recommend packing lightweight, breathable, and neutral-colored clothing (like khaki, green, or brown) to blend in with the environment and avoid startling the wildlife. Bring comfortable, sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots for the forest trails. Don't forget essentials like insect repellent, high-SPF sunscreen, a wide-brimmed hat, binoculars for birdwatching, and a good camera. A light rain jacket is also a good idea, just in case.
What are the accommodations and meals like during the trip?
During the Sundarbans portion of the trip, you will spend three nights on a private cruising boat equipped with basic but comfortable facilities. In Dhaka and Sreemangal, you will stay in comfortable hotels or eco-cottages. All your meals are included throughout the tour, featuring delicious local cuisine, and we even include a special lunch visit to a Khasia tribal village.
How does the payment process work for this tour?
For your convenience, we offer flexible payment options. While a deposit may be required to secure your booking and arrange the necessary permits, the remaining balance can often be paid upon arrival in Bangladesh. Please check with our booking team for the exact payment terms and options available for your specific travel dates.

10/10 Would recommend them for all Bangladesh tourism!

Mahadi at Bangladesh Eco Adventure and team really made the trip a dream come true — they handled all logistics, were on time, excellent communicators, well priced and had immense local knowledge. We went to the Sundarbans for a few days, as well as day tours in Sonargaon and Dhaka. Sundarbans in particular is a must see. Myself and my friends had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to recommend them as the people to trust with all your travel and tourism in Bangladesh.
