Common questions

Before you book

What is the best time to photograph the Pohela Boishakh rally?
The main rally typically begins around 9:00 AM on April 14th. Arriving at the festival grounds by 7:30 AM allows you to capture the incredible preparation of the giant paper-mache masks and festoons, as well as the early morning crowds gathering in the streets.
Is the Lal Kach festival safe to photograph?
Yes, the Lal Kach festival is very safe for photographers. The devotees are deeply in a state of spiritual devotion and are very welcoming to visitors. However, our experienced guides will help you find the right angles to capture the action without interfering with the procession.
Do I need special permits to visit the tribal areas in Bandarban?
Yes, visiting the remote hill tracts of Bandarban requires special military permits. We handle all the logistics and paperwork for these permits in advance, so you do not need to worry about them. Our guides will accompany you to ensure you have full access to the tribal villages and the Sangrai festival.
Can I bring my own drone equipment?
Absolutely. Many of our guests bring drone equipment. The most spectacular drone shots come from the ship-breaking yards, the floating markets of Barisal, and the half-moon boats in Cox's Bazar. Our guides will advise you on local regulations for each location.

10/10 Would recommend them for all Bangladesh tourism!

Mahadi at Bangladesh Eco Adventure and team really made the trip a dream come true — they handled all logistics, were on time, excellent communicators, well priced and had immense local knowledge. We went to the Sundarbans for a few days, as well as day tours in Sonargaon and Dhaka. Sundarbans in particular is a must see. Myself and my friends had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to recommend them as the people to trust with all your travel and tourism in Bangladesh.
