Common questions

Before you book

Is it safe to travel to Rajshahi and North Bengal as an international tourist?
Absolutely! Northwest Bangladesh is generally very peaceful and welcoming to foreign visitors. Rajshahi is known as the "Silk City" and is considered one of the cleanest and safest cities in the country. Our experienced local guides are with you throughout the trip to ensure a smooth, secure, and hassle-free experience.
How physically demanding is this 3-day tour?
This tour is rated as "easy" and is perfect for travelers who enjoy a relaxed pace. The activities mainly involve scenic train rides, gentle walking around ancient temples and mosques, and a serene boat ride on the Ganges River. You won't need any special physical fitness, just comfortable walking shoes for exploring the heritage sites.
Do I need any special permits to visit the Santal villages or ancient sites in North Bengal?
No special permits are required for this region! Unlike the Chittagong Hill Tracts or the deep Sundarbans, the Rajshahi division and its historical sites are fully open to international travelers. We handle all the standard entry fees for the museums and temples, so you can just focus on enjoying the journey.
What should I pack and wear for visiting the temples and mosques?
Since we will be visiting religious sites like the terracotta temples in Puthia and medieval mosques in Gaur, modest clothing is highly recommended. Please wear outfits that cover your shoulders and knees. A light scarf is handy for women when entering mosques. Otherwise, pack comfortable, breathable clothing, good walking shoes, and sun protection for the daytime explorations.
What can I expect for accommodation and meals during the trip?
You'll be staying in comfortable, clean hotels in Rajshahi on a twin-sharing basis. All your breakfasts and lunches are included in the tour. We'll introduce you to delicious local Bengali cuisine, and since Chapai Nawabganj is the "land of mangoes," you might even get to taste some local specialties! Dinners are left open so you can choose what you're craving, though your guide will happily recommend great local spots.
How does the payment process work for this tour?
We want to make booking as easy as possible for you. You can secure your spot online, and we offer a convenient "pay on arrival" policy. This means you can settle the balance of your tour cost in person when you meet your guide in Dhaka, giving you peace of mind before you travel

10/10 Would recommend them for all Bangladesh tourism!

Mahadi at Bangladesh Eco Adventure and team really made the trip a dream come true — they handled all logistics, were on time, excellent communicators, well priced and had immense local knowledge. We went to the Sundarbans for a few days, as well as day tours in Sonargaon and Dhaka. Sundarbans in particular is a must see. Myself and my friends had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to recommend them as the people to trust with all your travel and tourism in Bangladesh.
