Sreemangal is a place where time feels like it slows down. Wrapped in endless tea leaves and vibrant tribal traditions, this 3-day journey blends adventure with tranquility. We’ll take you through the emerald-green estates, into the depths of Lawachara’s rainforest, and across the wide waters of the Meghna River. It’s a full taste of rural life, nature, and the unmistakable charm of Bangladesh’s greenest corner.

Your adventure begins early at 6:00 AM. Your guide will meet you at your hotel and escort you to Dhaka Central Railway Station. Settle into your reserved air-conditioned chair coach for a scenic train ride where the city gives way to open countryside—villages, paddy fields, and rivers pass by like a moving film. Arriving in Sreemangal around 11:00 AM, we’ll transfer to your resort for a short rest before heading out for your first taste of tea country. We will: * Walk through lush green tea gardens and meet the local tea workers to learn about their traditional way of life. * Visit Madhobpur Lake, a serene hilltop lake surrounded by rolling tea hills—the perfect spot to breathe in the calm and enjoy the view.
After breakfast, we dive deep into the nature and culture of the region: * Hike inside Lawachara National Park: One of Bangladesh’s most beautiful forests. This semi-evergreen sanctuary is home to the rare Hoolock Gibbons. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch a glimpse of them swinging through the canopy. * Visit a Manipuri Tribal Village: Famous for their handloom weaving and colorful traditional crafts. We’ll also visit a small village school supported by our community-based tourism initiative. * Baikka Beel Bird Sanctuary: In the afternoon, we travel to these famous wetlands, known for migratory birds and peaceful sunsets. * The Seven-Layer Tea: End your day with a cup of Sreemangal’s famous seven-layer tea at a local stall before heading back to your hotel. * Overnight: Sreemangal
On our final day, we begin the journey back to Dhaka with some fascinating stops along the way: * Traditional Industries: Stop to see traditional rice mills and brick-making factories where villagers still use age-old methods. * Meghna River Boat Ride: Enjoy a short boat ride on one of Bangladesh’s great rivers. Experience river life up close—fishermen casting nets and ferry boats gliding across the horizon. * Batik Village: Before reaching Dhaka, we’ll visit a Batik village where artisans use wax and natural dyes to create beautiful hand-made fabrics.
Mahadi at Bangladesh Eco Adventure and team really made the trip a dream come true — they handled all logistics, were on time, excellent communicators, well priced and had immense local knowledge. We went to the Sundarbans for a few days, as well as day tours in Sonargaon and Dhaka. Sundarbans in particular is a must see. Myself and my friends had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to recommend them as the people to trust with all your travel and tourism in Bangladesh.
